Some people are having some success with workarounds, but in general upgrading to Mountain Lion is preferred. OS 10.8.4 is supported and strongly suggested there's no guarantee that PT11 will work at all on Snow Leopard that you have installed. OP - please check on Avid's site to see minimum hardware and software requirements. Obviously if there's other third party plugins in your current PT8 setup, you'd have to make sure they're compatible and up to date with PT11.ĮDIT: Re-reading your question, you do mention some other third party stuff, so the above advice applies. I'm assuming we're talking only about standard Pro Tools plugins and Waves. (3) All things working as they should, you shouldn't have any issues moving up from 8 to 11.
